I am a first-year Master of Divinity student and Community Engagement Fellow. A native of Augusta, Georgia and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. With my seminary degree, I hope to bridge the gap between the church and same-gender loving Christians through a project that is focused on the church’s interaction in advocating for human rights as well as civil rights.
I am a first-year student at Wesley Theological Seminary seeking my Master’s of Theological Studies. Born in Clarksville, Tennessee, and she received her Bachelor’s Degree from a small United Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee. I moved to Washington, D.C. for graduate school after completing a yearlong fellowship with Project Transformation Tennessee during which I ran an after-school program in the heart of East Nashville. I have a passion for changing the way young people interact and see themselves as an active part of the church.
I’m a St. Louis, Missouri native. I am pursuing a Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in Urban Ministry, aiming to apply all that I have learned towards the field of community development. I’m passionate about working with under-resourced communities to overcome the deep depression of our nation’s many food deserts, lack of economic empowerment, educational deprivation, and affordable housing; just to name a few.
I am a second-year MDIV student from the Sunshine State. I made my way from Tallahassee, FL to DC to become a Fellow within Wesley’s Institute for Community Engagement. In addition to representing Wesley as an Ambassador and Urban Fellow, you may find me working in the Office of Community Life or Oxnam Chapel. I can also be caught spreading my rays of sunshine by proudly sporting my Florida A& M University Rattlers paraphernalia, eating food with friends in the refectory or debating my favorite classmates at our downtown campus. Wesley is a great place to be!

Hello! My name is Sarah Mae Gabuyo and I am a first year MDiv International student from the Philippines and Italy. I moved with my family to Milan, Italy when I was 10 yrs. old to have a wider opportunity of better training and education. There I pursued my studies in Music and Psychology, and nurtured with great devotion my God-given gifts. Having previously been immersed in Asian and European cultures, I find my daily interactions here at the Wesley community very enriching. My perspectives in life are open towards hospitality, community building, and showing care for people. My biggest passion is to witness transformation in the life of people, especially young adults. In response to God’s call, it is my desire to be sent into the world as a servant of God to participate in creating disciples of all nations for Jesus Christ.
